This is my arrangement for Phil and Shannon's wedding. The lyrics are
slightly modified, and I replaced Bebo's intro lick with the intro lick
from Paul Stookey's "The Wedding Song" (transposed to A from its
original key of E). I also inserted the bridge from the same song
between Bebo's bridge and the final verse. Play in A, no capo, on a
standard-tuned six-string acoustic. (This is in the same key as Bebo's
original, though I actually tuned my guitar a full tone down for the
wedding.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
VERSE 1:
A page is turned by the wind
To a boy in dimpled grin
With a world to conquer
At the age of ten
But as history unfolds
And the story book is told
He finds salvation
But not at the hands of man and
CHORUS 1:
The God of second chance
He picked him up and He let him dance
Through a world that is not kind
And all this time preparing him the one
To hold him up when he comes undone
Beneath the storm, beneath the sun
And now a man, here you stand
Your day has come
VERSE 2:
A page is turned in this world
To reveal a little girl
With a heart that's bigger
As it is unfurled
By the language in her soul
That's teaching her to grow
With a careful cover
Of Love that will not fail
CHORUS 2:
The God of second chance
Picked her up and let her dance
Through a world that is not kind
And all this time preparing her the one
To hold her up when she comes undone
Beneath the storm, beneath the sun
And grown up tall, here you are
Your day has come
BRIDGE 1:
Beneath the air of April
She took him by the hand
And warm within the ardor
She took his heart instead
And high upon the mountain
He asked her for her hand
Just for her hand
INSTRUMENTAL
BRIDGE 2 [from Paul Stookey's "Wedding Song"]:
Well then what's to be the reason
For becoming man and wife
Is it love that brings you here
Or love that brings you life
And if loving is the answer
Then who's the giving for
Do you believe in something
That you've never seen before
Your day has come
VERSE 3:
A page is turned in this life
He's making her his wife
And there is no secret
To the Source of this much life
And the Grace that falls like rain
Is washing them again
Just a chance to somehow
Rise above this land
CHORUS 3:
Where the God of second chance
Will pick them up and let them dance
Through a world that is not kind.
And all this time they're sharing with the One
Who holds them up when they come undone
Beneath the storm, beneath the sun
And once again, here you stand
Your day has come
